Board of Directors 2nd Quarter Meeting

Meeting called to order by Brenda N. at 1:32 pm. 

Officer Report:

Secretary:
April read the minutes from the last BOD meeting. Mari accepted the
minutes as read, Brenda O. 2nd it.

Treasury:
Sandy delayed till the next General Membership meeting. Sandy received
a receipt from Louise ( $12.69) and Brenda N. ($8.88) for envelopes for the
June Conference Forum.

Internet Service Coordinator:
Mari had no updates. Just needs ideas for the July, August, September
newsletter 

Record Coordinator:
Patty has nothing to report

Co-Chair 1:
Louise has nothing to report

Co-Chair 2:
Brenda N. gave an IFCCA update, Brenda O. is going to be their
Workshop Coordinator. 

Old Business:

Insurance- Tabled

Hy-vee coupon books- talk about at our next GM meeting.
Coralville Library- May 19th next GM meeting

Conference- 
Money concerns 
Keynote Speaker was booked, 
Louise asked a lot of business for help. 
Office Depot was willing to print the 500 brochures for free as long as they
put their printing stamp on it. Brenda O. and Alicia went and got the brochures
printing. Brenda O. paid for them to be on color paper. Thank you Brenda O. 
Donations-
Hills Bank-waiting to hear back
Pleasant Valley Garden Center- NO
Iowa City Landscaping- some potting plants 
Barnes and Noble- waiting to hear back.
Target- waiting to hear back, there donations are in the form of gift card to get
some of the stuff you need. 
Best Buy- got a form  (screen, pa system, and money)
Big Ten Rentals-waiting to hear back, it was $10 a day to rent a screen
Aero Rental- gonna check in to 
Other possible place we are looking in to for donations are: Wal-Mart,
Hy-Vee, Fareway, Carlos O’Kelly, Hawkeye Foods, Act, Piersons,
General Mills, Village Inn, Perkins, Panera, Breugells, Jimmy Jacks Ribs,
Heyns Ice Cream

2nd Annual Picnic - July 25th 2009 

IAEYC-underwriting approved training for DHS Registration. 

Folded all brochures and stuffed in envelopes.
