Louise called the meeting to order at 6:50 pm on
May 15th 2009 at the Coralville Public Library.

Officer Reports:

Secretary:
April read minutes from the April GM meeting. Sandy made a
motion to accept the minutes and Mari second the motion.
The motion passed.

Treasury:
Sandy read the treasure report. Brenda N. made a motion to
accept the report and Mari second it. Motion passed.  $400
was giving to IAVQCC from the Lions Club to use towards
getting insurance.  Hy-Vee books are gone

Internet Service Coordinator:
Internet looks good. Need ideas for July, August, September
Newsletter.

Record Coordinator:
Patty had a question about adding the date on to the
presenters form. Going to change the form. Patty read a
letter to the group dealing with the zoning problem Coralville
and North Liberty is having. The letter was asking us and
anyone we know to sign a petition to support our fellow
daycare providers who are affected by this.  There 
was a vote on linking the petition to the IAVQCC page. 7
voted yes and 2
abstained from voting.  Diana made the motion and Mari
second the motion.  Motion passed. 

Co-Chair 1:
Louise has nothing to report. 

Co-Chair 2:
Brenda N. shared a slide show of our meeting April 21st GM
meeting. She gave Sandy a receipt for pencils for our 
June 20th conference.

Unfinished Business:

The members at the meeting decided on food for the
conference, to be held on June 20th 2009 There were 7 people
signed up at the time of the meeting ( 4 outside and 3 members).

Brenda O. made a motion to get liability insurance threw
State Farm Ins. for $225.00 early with the annual premium of
3 million dollars. Diana seconds the motion. 

New Business:
Louise made a motion to buy more Hy-Vee books. $100.00 worth.
Brenda N.  seconds the motion.  Motion passed. Sandy will
get new ones first.

IFFCA- March 20th 2010 we are in charge of the hospitality
night. 

Discussion:
Lions club gave IAVQCC $400 for insurance and incentives for
Cedar County providers to come to the IAVQCC conference on
June 20th 2009. 

June Brenda O. is doing training on Kindergarten Readiness
and July trying to get Jan Temple to do one on Food.

DHS training is May 30th 

July 11th 2009 Applebaum training in Cedar Rapids at the
Marriott from 8am-3pm. 6 hours of training/.6 ceus

Mari donated 3 packs of notebook paper to put in to the
folders for the conference

Kathy donated a tri fold for the conference

Mari motioned to allocate funds for IAVQCC Business Card.
Sandy seconds the motion. Motion passed. 

Louise made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:22pm
